"Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness." - Romans 6:13 (NIV)

The heart of worship is surrender. It is an unpopular word, disliked almost as much as the word submission. It implies loosing, and no one wants to be the loser. Surrender envokes the unpleasant images of admitting defeat in battle, forfeiting a game, or yeilding to a stronger opponent. The word is almost always used in a negative context. Captured criminals surrender to authorities.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." - Mark 12:30 (NIV)
